Paws & Wellness · from launch

Your dog or cat has a day too.

Add your dogs and cats to Licorice and keep their meals, walks and health notes in the same app as yours.

  • A profile for each pet. Breed, birthday, weight, how active they are, what they eat and its calories, allergies and their vet.
  • A daily food guide. Grams a day and per meal, worked out from weight, age, activity and their food. A general guide: your vet's advice comes first.
  • A daily checklist. Meals, walks, pee and poo, logged with one tap.
  • "How is Mia today?" A quick check-in on sleep, energy and appetite, so changes are easier to spot.
  • A journal. Treats, medicine, play, grooming, notes and injuries, with photos to show how things change.
  • Vet visits. Keep a record of past visits and add appointments, with reminders the evening before and 2 hours before.
  • Feeding reminders. Tap "Fed" and Licorice notes the time and who fed them. A reminder only comes if a meal hasn't been logged, and it can learn when you usually feed.
  • Their own character. An animated cartoon that wags and blinks. Change its colours, coat and ears to look like your pet.

Included in Licorice Plus, or €2 a month on its own. Licorice gives general pet-care tracking, not veterinary advice. For anything worrying, call your vet.

Gizem started Licorice because eating well shouldn't mean a spreadsheet or a strict diet. Most people don't need more rules. They need simple meals they enjoy, and someone checking in.

With coaching, Gizem builds your plan around your goals and the way you actually eat, reads your diary, and replies in the app.

A redeemed offer on the member's phone: a ticking clock, the offer and partner, a 10-minute countdown and a QR code that changes every 30 seconds.

Questions

When can I download Licorice?

On 1 March 2027, from the App Store and Google Play. Join the waitlist and we'll email you on the day.

Is the app really free?

Yes. The food diary, calorie and macro tracking, smart swaps, progress badges and health sync are free, and so is the Social Wellness Club. Licorice Plus (€9.99 a month or €79 a year) adds everything else, including member perks at partner cafés, studios and pet services, and coaching includes Plus. If you only want the pet tools, they're €2 a month on their own. All prices include VAT.

Does it work for cats as well as dogs?

Yes. Paws & Wellness is for dogs and cats, from launch. It's included in Licorice Plus, or €2 a month on its own. It's for everyday tracking and reminders, not veterinary advice.

Is there a community in the app?

Yes, through the Social Wellness Club, which is free for everyone. From launch: walk event pages with sign-ups, and share cards for your week (like "5-day streak · 42 km walked") to post to Instagram Stories or WhatsApp. From Year 2: member groups for Lisbon and Porto, and goal groups such as a run club or dog owners, moderated by our Community Manager. Groups are peer support, not medical advice.

Can I use Licorice with ChatGPT or Claude?

From Year 2, Licorice Plus members can connect their account to AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, and ask things like "plan my dinners from my Licorice recipes" or "log Rufus's evening walk". You choose what to share and can disconnect any time.

Is coaching medical advice?

No. Coaching is educational nutrition and wellness guidance. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take medication, talk to your doctor first.

Do I need to live in Lisbon or Porto?

No. The app and coaching work anywhere in Europe. Only the walks are in Lisbon (from February 2027) and Porto (from summer 2027).

What happens to my email?

We use it only to send launch updates. We don't sell or share it. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time. See the privacy notice.

Who sees it
Only us. Your details are stored by Netlify, our website host, and emailed to us at ola@golicorice.com. When we send launch emails, we may use an email service to send them on our behalf. We don't sell or share your details.
How long
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, and no longer than 12 months after the app launches.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from any email, or write to ola@golicorice.com to see, correct or erase your details, or withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt).
